PNG is now a dangerous country
where, essentially, no news is good news. This page to balance the views of
those who would have us believe that all is well and good in PNG. I'm not in the business of denigrating PNG
but I don't mind exposing the despoilers. I love
the place but we shouldn't kid ourselves, those relatively peaceful days of
yore are long gone . This section is also a salute to
the PNG print media who I think on
balance, have managed to maintain relatively reasonable and independent journalistic standards under trying conditions
and from whom most of these cuttings have been sourced.
