The ex Government Trawler "Akura" now sold to the Catholic Mission and renamed. I recognised it's shape as soon as I saw it in Alotau harbour and spoke to the boat's crew who confirmed the name change.
A singsing organised by the locals at Talasea for cruise passengers. There is no longer a government station at Talasea but big developments at the oil palm exporting port of Kimbe some 50 klm down the road. Six of us hire a Toyota ute PMV and rode in the back sitting on a 3 x 2 timber seat all the way there and back.
